YANGON, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar government has appointed three new regional ministers to fill the vacant posts in the country's southern Tanintharyi region, the President's Office issued the order on late Tuesday.
Daw Yi Yi Cho was appointed as the region's minister of planning and finance and U Hla Htwe was appointed as minister of natural resources and environmental conservation. U Aung Thuya was named as minister of electricity and energy.
On March 22, the government appointed U Myint Maung to replace former chief minister of the region Dr. Lae Lae Maw who was sacked and arrested on charge of corruption along with three local company officials.
